    I have done exactly as in this diagram. I am using USB to TTL: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=200360064779 I get nothing from HyperTerminal when connected to PCB. I have checked all connections and tried rearranging them. Loopback works fine. With HyperTerminal, how do I get rid of the Country/Area code like in the original guide? Does it matter?

    Hey everyone, I've had my 1TB 7200.11 in BSY state since March this year and I've finally gotten around to trying to recover my data. I'm using the following to communicate with the HDD: I have been trying to use the USB connector, I can loopback just fine, but it doesn't show anything in HyperTerminal when connected to the hard drive. Has anyone else used this same converter or have any help/advice?
