  1. Hi, that GPO does not solve it. I dont actually understand what he means by "you need to disable EAP on your AAA server" I googled AAA server but got results for a RADIUS server, which we dont have. Or does he mean something else? Thanks for any help.
  2. Hi, We use smartcards, but only for applications, not Windows authentication. If a user inserts their smartcard at a locked workstation (or login) screen they get asked for a PIN (which doesnt exist). Apparently there are lines in the GINA, probably related to... wlx_option_use_smart_card But thats about all I can figure out. Does anybody know how to edit the standard MS GINA to not react to a smartcards, or write another very basic gina to go in front that passes everything excpet smartcard behavior to the MS GINA? I have found this very hard, but somebody with GINA skills this is probably a piece of cake!! Thanks for any help Fred
  3. Hi, We use smart cards, but not for login. After a user had used a smart card, Windows tries to be clever and then enables a PIN request when the user tries to unlock their workstation. Is there a way of stopping Windows from enabling the pin request? There is a GPO for saying if they have to use a smart card, but seemingly nothing to say never use a smartcard. Thanks for any help.
  4. Hi, When on Novell we changed the logon screen image to have a bit of a disclaimer and corporate logo. We now dont have a Novell client and I can't figure out how you do this on a standard windows login box/screen. Is this possible? Thanks Fred
  5. We have Office XP on Windows 2000 machines. A CMW was applied to the office install that created an Outlook profile for the user. The option to modify was selected. Due to various versions of this CMW based on differfent service packs and install sources re-doing the CMW is not an option. The problem we are having is people are moving around and Outlook is creating them a fresh profile and renaming their old one to backup. Is there any way of stopping Outlook from doing this? Or even better is there a switch to remove the applied CMW from running? (I can just make it so it then only runs on new users who dont have a windows profile yet). Thanks for any help.
  6. Hi, We have Windwows XP SP3 with Novell Client 4.91 SP5 (the latest) installed then set as the secondary GINA. Even though bindery was not even chosen when installing the client the first window you get after the microsoft login is a Novell Bindery login box. Any ideas? As a side not but possibly un related we don't get the red N installed into the tray neither. Many thanks Fred
