why can't i add new users when using CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2??? its locked. im using the admin. i have to manually do the adding by the user management add individual type of membership which is bery tiring. how was it locked?

the hard disk has been freshly reformatted (NTFS).

im trying to install a new hard disk and the weird thing is that it is not listed in My Computer. There is no driver letter there for the new hard disk. but when i access the device manager, the device is listed there. what the hell is the problem with this? please help me.

do you know any location where i can download a generic infrared driver for windows 2003? i tried donwloading from driver-guide but it seems that their driver doesnt work ( their site tells that it should).

guess what? ITS THE CDS THAT ARE DAMAGED!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaah! i bought a new cd and the burner went fine. those bundles of cds that i bought are all freaked out!!! **** it!

i cannot seem to add new users to my userlist. i issued this command: control userpasswords2 also windows2003 is unable to perform a scheduled diskcheck on my disk volumes. its complaining that it cant have exclusive access to the volume. my this is really freaking me out.

msfn guide ses that i disable imapi service when using nero. also ive already enabled/disabled services that msfn suggested but to no avail. the first time i installed win2003, the burner was able to initiate burning using nero but later it just stays on the 2% finished. the burner led just keeps on blinking. this is really giving me a headache! but looking on the bright side, win2003 works very fast.

update each workstation one by one. hehehehehe.

if your are really that desperate use linux and mount your ntfs system. then clear the admin password. i have downloaded a minimalist linux somewhere built for the purpose of clearing admin passwords for nt systems. fits on a diskette. search google.

use tweak nt. convert your 2003 to xp and then edit your group policies and enable the WELCOME stuff. it worked for me.

well i installed winrar and it did solved the problem. i thinl winrar is better than winzip. hehehehehe.

i cant seem to burn cds in windows 2003. i tried nero and also the cdburn.exe that microsoft provided from their toolkit. imapi service is disabled when using nero and enabled when using cdburn.exe, as what instructions says. the error says that there is a power calibration error. how do you get around this one. the cd drive works well when tested in windows xp using fienmans iso burner. please help!
