I don't know if it could help but I found this information on a french forum: To install R2 component on SP2 you just need to modify the file R2INTL.INF (found in CMPNENTS\R2). Change the value R2SPLEVEL = 1 into R2SPLEVEL = 2, and execute the file setup2.exe I hope this could help this topic cause I have the same challenge.
