  1. Hi, I have Intel corei7 + 12GB of memory. When I'm using ubuntu 9.04 application are effectively cache into memory for future runs. But I have problems in Windows XP! XP just use 2GB of memory and when I switch between different application, it takes a long time to load them again. It's really bad behavior for daily usage. After some googling I found that there are some tweak to solve this problems (Refer to "Tweak #4: Kernel Paging and Cache Tuning"). I changed the following: Part 1: DisablePagingExecutive Part 2: Enable LargeSystemCache But It doesn't work (2GB is maximum usage!). How can I tune my machine in order to have better memory utilization?
