I did, and seems that more garbage running line after line and it keeps on refreshing... perhaps, i code the color wrong. was here anyone using generic CA-42 (prolific 2303) can decipher the color code? BLUE - WHITE - BLACK - ORANGE - GREEN - Thanks... my frind do you know and sure which colors are tx or rx did you loopback test? Now, I am not sure anymore. This is the cable. hope anyone hv some idea.

Hello guys, I certainly need helps here. I have got meself generic CA-42 cable, installed Prolific 2302 driver and detected as "Prolific USB-Serial Comm Port". It has five cables inside: Black, Green, Orange, Blue and White. After reading from some post/site, I managed to make a little conclusion: 1. Blue - RX 2. White - TX When I connected to hdisk (I powered the hdisk using external power cable) and only to get continous garbage texts. Perhaps someone who might know what the problem is can lead me to solve this problem. Would appreciate that. Thanks...

i wonder if Nokia 3310 cable might work, it has four pins, but i dont seem to be able to determine which is TX or RX. someone can probably give me some idea. would appreciate that, thanks.
