    sorry can't help you... but do you get the LED error with the disk away from PCB? It's very strange... anyway, i used a piece of newspaper too to separate the spin connectors to PCB for entering the /2 and Z command, and it worked for me

    Are you sure you have unmounted the PCB from the hard disk? You get that message because your hd is "BSY", so the spin must be still connected... Anyway, i want to thank Gradius for his guide: yesterday i done the job!!! I had only to repeat a few times the procedure, because i got nothing (or same error) when launching the "U" command, but finally it worked and i saved my data and updated the firmware. Thank you again!!!!!
