  1. I tried reinstalling the hp webcam software too but still no luck the webcam doesn't work.
  2. I tried using system restore, it failed. I have already checked the device manager and I tried reinstalling the driver. It automatically updates itself from device manager so I thought the driver was generic but after being reinstalled it is called HP Webcam. Still I tried going to the hp driver downloads center but there are no drivers for the webcam only hp webcam software. so can someone please help?
  3. hi i just uninstalled my kaspersky antivirus software on Windows 7 and my webcam on MSN Live Messenger stopped working my friend cant see me but i can see him. can someone please help ! I tried reinstalling kaspersky but looks my webcam just suddenly stopped working and i also tried reinstalling MSN and driver of webcam but still no luck please help!
  4. ilko_t I manually replaced the files and the whole process worked . There is a problem that occurs after the installation is done and everything. The boot loader gives me two options which say both Microsoft Windows XP Professional so I found out that the first one works and the second doesn't. For now, I managed to delete the second line in the boot.ini and got rid of this problem but every time I'll install xp from USB it will give me this problem.
  5. ilko_t I didn't get those past those errors. I tested the usb with every pc but still leads to the same problem. My NLITE CD has the driver pack for 5 different models of Dell Optiplex. It is a MASTER CD. I have Symantec Endpoint Protection turned on.
  6. ilko_t sorry I forgot to press upload for txtsetup.siff file. here it is. txtsetup.rar
  7. ilko_t I have definitely been trying it on the same machine with usb and CD. Actually what has been happening is that I usually test the USB first, it keeps failing and I end up using the CD. I only have two 2GB Kingston Traveler USB sticks that I can use. I have tried replacing the setup file of symantec from the original image and realized that for some reason the USB Multiboot method doesn't copy it over correctly so i just did it myself that issue seems to be fixed.
  8. ilko_t yup those are the only files but sorry im new with the install xp from usb method so i was wondering what u meant by attach the txtsetup.siff file on usb stick because the file is already on the usb stick or did you want me to post whats in the file txtsetup.siff? . I can add vizio viewer to the wpi programs but I cannot add symantec endpoint protection cuz symantec endpoint protection takes complete use of the windows installer and doesnt allow any remaining applications on the wpi programs list to get installed. I have tried changing the order of the wpi programs list script but still wont help cuz if i put symantec at the bottom of the list, office takes use of the msi installler and doesnt allow it to install and if I put office before symantec it takes to long for the office 2007 installation process to start so windows installer starts installing symantec and then an error pops up saying "The windows installer cannot install two applications simultaneously". The thing is that regarding the wpi process i did make a thread for it in th appropriate section on this site and the only solution was to install symantec as an addon that was what I did when I was using the Nlite CD. It worked and now it is giving the CRC error so I cannot figure out why it stopped working. cdob The compressed .cab file that I made for symantec endpoint protection worked when I added it to the Nlite CD, i cannot figure out why i got that error now. Its really annoying not able to migrate from DVD to USB cuz i had made the perfect image using nlite but now that Im trying to move to USB method its all going wrong !
  9. In fact sorry the error was "cannot copy file" when setup copies files in BSOD before restarting. Files: xptht27D.jpg xptht28D.jpg xptht29D.jpg xptht30D.jpg xptht31D.jpg xptht34D.jpg wmvdecod.dll wmvencod.dll wmvxencod.dll wow32.dll wpabaln.exe wpd_ci.dll wmvds32.ax These are the files that give the error cannot copy file and when i try again it doesnt work so I have to press ESC to skip. Then after the restart my symantec endpoint protection doesnt get installed as it does when installed from the cd, the error is "CRC failed" when 7-zip is extracting the .cab file, and vizio viewer also doesnt get installed.
  10. cdob I have to use a dvd cuz my iso image is greater than a gigabyte ilko_t I am installing sp3 and ya i will try installing it from usb again to find out which dll's are missing.
  11. Hi I actually made a full Nlite CD and was using a DVD to format my office computers but then I realized that USB could make the process much faster. So I followed the whole procedure and made a usb that can install xp but the problem is that I am installing them on Dell Systems so I got the blue screen error and I got that fixed then I got another whole problem: after the part of choosing how to format the partition, setup starts copying the files in BSOD before restarting. At that point the files start copying but some dll and sys files dont copy over and give an error. and when i click on retry it doesnt work so i have to hit ESC to skip the files and then that in turn ruins the remaining process. So please can some one help?
  12. iamkey thank you for the link I do get the procedure. I thought it was useless keeping gaps in the 3 digit numbers, 010 and 015, by the way those numbers are customizable i mean just simply having them numerically ordered ? This process is useful, but having all addons and everything in svcpack feels more unattended because everything gets installed by the time xp's installation is over . It is always handy when some applications don't end up getting installed during the xp installation process. coucou Sry your process does work, I had renamed the Symantec AntiVirus.msi before that is why I was getting an error. Thanks for the help I was wondering if there could be a similar process for Office 2007 and Deep Freeze 5 Enterprise. I did make an attempt at Office 2007. First, I used the office customization tool to make office 2007 unattended then I made a sfx archive for office 2007, using Quick Install Maker. Eventually, I used the Virtuel's Add-on Maker 2.0 beta to make it into a .cab file. I made an initial test by running it on an installed xp system and after 8 minutes it was installed unattended (no GUI) and there was Microsoft Office in the Start Menu . But I did notice that it took to long to get a hang of the windows installer. I think that is the reason why it didn`t work when I actually put it on my nlite cd and tested it. Nlite Test: 1. During XP installation, the Office window pops up for a second saying `Wait while preparing setup files for installation process` which means the Office installation is about to begin. This also happened when I initially tested it on an installed xp system. 2. Then, according to the initial test, the process should take about 8 minutes and that happens. 3. After XP`s installation is over it restarts as usual. 4. But ,after the reboot, when I check the Start Menu there is no Office 2007 folder and then, out of curiosity, I checked program files and there was no office folder . That doesn`t make sense the whole process carries out but eventually there is no office. So any clue what went wrong . I hope I was clear at describing the process I carried out.
  13. coucou I tried your solution it didn't work out. I got an error saying "1155 : C:\Temp\Symantec AntiVirus.msi was not found". iamkey I want to try your solution but I dont seem to get how to write it in the Nlite cmd file REG ADD %REGKEY%\001 /v 1 /D "net stop msiserver" /f What is the wildcard to edit? How do I reflect the key and value that follow my symantec install? Where do I start counting to refer to the item ? Sorry I have never done a registry addition so I don't really how this works. So please can you help in explaining ? What do you mean by If that succeeds, then start working backwards to remove them?
  14. The question is that I am not sure if the symantec is the one that doesn't release the windows installer in a timely manner or is it the other software that i am installing? I am installing symantec endpoint protection, windows live messenger silent standalone (which i extracted from \program files\common files) and office 2007 from runonce. I get that error from windows installer when the messenger is added to the runonce cmd file but when it isnt, I don't get the error but still only symantec installs and office's setup.exe does start but doesnt continue on and finish installation. I also tried switching the order of applications ( office first then symantec second) in the runonce cmd file. but its the same result symantec installs seamlessly then office starts but doesn't finish installation process. I also tried removing symantec from the cmd file and let windows live messenger install first and then office 2007 second and both installed perfectly. I think I have to somehow let office 2007 install second after windows live messenger, but also stop the cmd file from starting the Symantec Anti Virus.msi file until office 2007 is done installing. So do u think this is possible?
  15. Sorry but I don't how to do add this key please can u show me how ?
