  1. It wasn't working because the default firewall is active on a basic winpe 2.0 image and doesn't allow the transfer for some reason. wpeutil.exe DisableFirewall fixed it. Just posting the answer so that if anybody else gets stuck with a similar issue, they know what to do.
  2. Hi, I'm building WinPE 2.0 images for use in a software project. The image needs to be able to download a few files using TFTP. But, none of the images I've built allow me to do that. I've tried various TFTP clients and every one of them times out and fails to fetch a single file. The files are all less than 100KB in size. The TFTP server is serving the files without problem as I can download them on any other machine. There seems to be no problem with network setup as I can ping other machines and mount shares and copy files, etc. This happens on multiple machines, so it can't be something specific to the machine I'm testing on either. Is this a known problem? Is there some problem with UDP traffic on a basic WinPE image? The image has been created using the most basic procedure, i.e. copype.cmd x86 <dest> imagex /mountrw copy <tftp client> mount\Windows\System32\ imagex /unmount /commit It would be great if anyone can provide any pointers as to how I may troubleshoot it. Thanks. EDIT: If anyone can point me to an official Microsoft channel for WinPE support, it would be great.
