  1. i give it about 1 month... perhaps less before the first critical update/hotfix comes out for SP2... then everyone will be onto integrating fixes again.
  2. guysmiley, i think 832483 is the mdac one isnt it?!? if so this is what i ended up doing: "MDAC.exe /C:""dahotfix.exe /q /n"" /q:a" I think i renamed the 832482 to MDAC and used the following command in svcpack.inf Below is my full svcpack.inf, the last time i tested it the DX9 update and the latest download.ject fix was on the WU list. I added the download.ject fix in this afternoon, but have not had a chance to test it. I think I will hold off on integrating patches to SP1 now till XPSP2 is RTM and then just check out the /integrate? switch that SP2 has.   3. i am talking about after its installed and it does a reboot. it should then promp you for a password. ah well its only the direct x update that is not applying now, the other seem to be all working.
  4. far out.... it was so close, media player gave an error... then i tried a windows udpate, and it said it was still missing: 832894 - far out... I dloaded the wrong version!!!!!! 832483 - still does not work... trying more "" 819696 - dloaded the unattened direct X install and trying it this time I also have another problem now, it does not seem to prompt for a password taht I have set in my autologon.reg and useraccts.cmd hmmm further investigation is needed..
