  1. Oh! That makes that easy then. Thank you so much, and thanks for your fast reply! ... never again am I agreeing to 'fix' my wife's computer.
  2. Howdy. I just discovered nLite and have to admit it's a little daunting even though it appears to be super simple once someone has the hang of it. I've also poked around this forum for an answer to my question, and while I can find somewhat similar problems and solutions, I haven't quite found anything that quite helps my exact question just yet - but if this is a repeat question, sorry in advance, and please point me towards it! So my wife has had a Gateway laptop running vista for a while now, and after dealing with problems for the better part of a year, we decided to go pick up a copy of XP from our local Fry's, only to realize that it won't install on her computer due to SATA drivers and basically requiring a floppy disk (which the laptop doesn't have a drive for). So after poking around a while, I found nLite which seems to be able to incorporate the driver we need and allow us to downgrade to XP. The only problem is, I'm a little confused about the integration of service packs. The XP disk we bought says it is an SP3 disk already, which is all fine and dandy, but does that mean when setting the addition of service packs, that I should leave it alone and blank, as SP3 is already originally part of the disk I have and will be installed, or do I need to go through the disk's directory and find the SP3 information to add to nLite's section on service pack integration? And if so, does anyone actually know where that might be on the disk? Thanks! I'm not entirely too PC savvy, and I've been pulling my hair out all night over this computer already!
