  1. Running SP3, and I get this pop up message about Windows File Protection, something about it having detected that certain Windows files have been replaced and need to be reverted to the original. I only have an SP2 installer, and I just updated to SP3. Any fixes for this? I did sfc /scanonce. There were a few files that seemed to require a SP3 disc. I just canceled outta those. Any other suggestions?
  2. Suppose I do a parallel install of XP, and direct the installer to boot from a new folder "WINXP" instead of just letting it write over the "WINDOWS" folder. So now, the computer boots up fine from the new Windows directory, which is "WINXP". Question is... can I delete the WINDOWS folder now?
  3. Hi! I'm new. Usually, in Normal mode, I go to command prompt and use cacls (I go for /d first, then /p) and attrib. After restarting, if that doesn't work, I go to Safe Mode with Networking and toggle permissions and security through there. I change ownership, retain the current permissions, but I still can't delete the file. Any help? Third party software (like Unlocker and stuff) are appreciated, but I would favor a more Windows-innate process to delete the seemingly undeleteable files.
