  1. ok got it the easy way. $OEM$ files copy after the addons/service packs so i just managed to use custom gadgets as default through the .ini file.
  2. I have downloaded windows sidebar package and added through nlite, also added a registry "run" value so it autostarts, and i have added lots of custom gadgets to its gadgets folder. My question is how can i preconfigure which gadgets load as default? in vista unattended i know you can do this through the "unattend.xml" file but there is no such file for XP. Also no .ini file in sidebar.cab in i386. I could make an .ini and add it later through $OEM$ or post install but was wondering if there was another way. Also as a windows add-on will it load before the copy of the $OEM$ files or after? coz if i add the .ini file through the $OEM$ and the addon loads after that it would overwrite my custom .ini By the way i am working on a pure Greek XP Pro SP3 unattended drivers+programs+custom themes release (not a MUI release, greek kernel!) if anyone is interested leave a PM, i will upload it later tonight.
  3. i suppose you have downloaded the sidebar package and added with nlite to your unattended xp. now make an "$OEM$" folder at the root of your unattended xp and then a "$Progs", inside that a "Windows Sidebar" and inside there a "Gadgets" there you move all the gadgets you want preinstalled in their unzipped format (it's a folder "nameofgadget.gadget" for each). So full path would be: root\$OEM$\$Progs\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\
