  1. So, in need of some guidance on this. I've got vLite and WAIK as required and I've copied my Vista Ultimate SP1 OEM disc to my drive and opened with vLite. I've integrated all my hotfixes and now on to my drivers. I've got the Chipset, LAN, Audio, etc in .zip format which unzip to folders. How would I integrate them? Do I need to convert them to an .inf file or just import the selected folder with Insert > Multiple Folder option in vLite? Also, my graphics drive is in .exe format from nVidia, how would I integrate that into vLite? And one more question. When I'm done with each part (Integration, Components, etc) do I have to hit Apply on each step or does that not matter?
  2. I know the hardware, just not sure about which sata drivers I need. AMD Turion Mobile 64 nVidia Geforce 6200 (I think gotta check) Broadcom BCM4311 Wireless
  3. So, I've got this Vista laptop with 1gb of RAM (don't ask) well I'm putting XP Pro on it and I've got the original disc, but how would I find the correct sata drivers and such for it? I've looked everywhere and can only find Intel sata drivers on the net, is that what they all are or what? Also, do the applications and drivers and updates need to be in a certain format or how does that work? The XP Pro disc is SP2, how would I integrate the SP3 updates and such as well?
  4. This is the first time I'm giving slip streaming a try and I was going to do it with an XP copy, but I don't have one, so I'll use my Vista copy that I bought. Ok, what should I do first and what components should I install? And also, how would I add programs I use daily to the install so that it's all ready to go when it's installed? Also, would slip streaming cause the install go faster or slower? I just hate how when you do a fresh install of Vista it's so freaking slow even on a high end machine. Here are my computer details: Intel C2D E8400 @ 3.8ghz G.Skill DDR2 1600 4x2gb RAM nVidia GeForce GTX260 896mb Graphics ASUS P5Q SE PLUS Motherboard Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 750gb Drive Vista Ultimate x64 Also, I'm wondering if it's possible to create partitions during an unattended install so that my OS goes on a small 50gb partition and the other stuff on the bigger partition. And how would I integrate my drivers for the install and applications? Also, Vista OEM keys are valid for as many computers as you want if it's uninstalled form the first one first right? I installed the OEM copy from Newegg and just wanna make sure I'm not screwing myself by formatting and then getting "This key isn't valid" since it's been used once before to install on here. Also one more thing, I've got the Adobe Design Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, is there a way to have it install those and activate them or should I wait til after the install to do that?
  5. So, I've got my XP Pro SP3 cd and burned it to my hard drive. I went to slipstream the drivers and all for my computer and then tested it out in a VM, but it doesn't go unattended. I've got to manually enter the cd key in it. Also, the computer name/workgroup and the users are all created in nlite and then it slipstreams fine, but why doesn't it work when I test it out in the VM?
