  1. Hello, and I thank you for your very quick response! Well - there is a little problem with the install of the driver - when talking to Samsung today, they said yes, I have the correct Samsung cable - but the driver isn't for Vista. They told me to use a different computer (like everyone has a few different ones around their house). I don't. The thing is, I would think that when I hook up the cable that it could be recognized on it's own. I guess I'm wrong, and will have to find another computer somewhere. I'm not sure what you were talking about with the reader slot on a laptop - can you explain? Thank you!
  2. Hello, I am new and have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I bought a serial data cable to hook my phone up to my Vista OS. The computer does not recognize it. I have called the manufacturer (Samsung) they told me that I have the correct cable. I've called the manufacturer of my computer, they were no help - told me to use a different computer. I have installed the drivers, with no luck. What I am truely trying to do is find out if I can hook this up to be recognized as a device with removable storage, and I'll tell you why. My phone had messages on it that contained important work information, my son played with my phone and now they are gone. I was going to use a restore software to get the messages back, but the computer won't recognize the data cable. Any suggestions? Thank you!
