you have the copy as you said and i am sure that the serial for that original CD is registered under your name which is the most important point in this case. so it dosen't matter if it's a copy or original CD finally you awn the key. this is my openion.

are u sure that the security of your outlook is not disabling the attachments? to make sure of that do the following on th outlook express: 1- click on tools and go to options. 2- from options select security. 3- make sure that the (Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus) check box is not selected and if its just remove the tick form it and restart your outlook express. hope it will help. best wishes.
