I guess they would have to make something reeeallllyy cooool to keep everyone convinced that .NET is the way to go because that is what it is all about.

So you would avoid using the new operating system and stay with the one you have? Thats interesting. I guess forcing of things like TCPA and Palladium needs to be carefully planned and also .NET otherwise I guess alot of people would move to either remaining with Windows 2000/XP or it could create a big Linux movement. The only thing I can see making Microsoft fall is a missunderstanding from their Maketting department but I am sure they have that covered.

If Microsoft made it so people had to use the .NET Passport to make use of extra features within the OS would you?

So windows XP Home edition should be able to be on as many computers as the "personal customer wants" provided they are for that one persons use? Sounds reasonable but how would that be monitored, to ensure people arnt rorting the system and making it bad for honest users like you and me?

They are fair points but what about the side of security issues in having so much ability over the OS? I guess they make something for the standard user not just you and me.... Maybe a different version like Windows XP 3133t?

When you say "Anything" what kind of things do you mean?

What would change alot of people to liking Microsoft and giving it more support? (Seriously)
