Great. BTW still getting error in line 84 with Windows XP SP2 CD in CD-ROM ( tried virtual cd as well) Is there a specific Drive Letter being Looked for ( mine is S:) Edit. Looks like this error happens after tag files are copied. WIN51 & WIN51IP are there. What other files do you require ?

What are the consequences of disabling the page file with 2GB in XP pRo ?

Has any one been able to download Office Update Installation Engine and slipstream using svcpack.inf. I can only assume it would be similar to Windows Update V6 method. Just need to fine file containing download Office Update Installation Engine and what switches for silent unattended install Thanks

I Have several dos based network boot disks for unattended installs over the network. I usuually connect to an xp pc. Is it possible to logon to an SBS2003 Domain and map drives through DOS.

@gilesw I use 16bit Dos Network Boot and winnt.exe with XP home and have no problems doing an Unattended Install of XP Home over the Network. I dont use XPcreate to prepare my source files for a network install ( CD install I Do). Rather I used the Unattended CD/DVD Guide to prepare my Source and the I take the svcpack.inf & SVCPACK directory Xpcreate makes for a Zero windows update.

Hi, I have a workstation running XP Pro, connected to an DSL Router ( No Domain Invoved). What I need to do is create a user, and for this user disable web browsing from IE & Explorer. The user still needs FTP and Lan access( so false DNS Setting are not an option.) Ive Looked at Group Policy but this effects all users. Thanks in Advance.

@avanderbeek- Maybe your CD is damged or you just have an issue getting XPCTBOOT.BIN from it. I have attached the one I use Just rename XPCTBOOT.txt to XPCTBOOT.BIN XPCTBOOT.txt

I have Created 3 Batch files to install Critical & Recomended Updates. The first does IE6SP1, MP9, DX9c & then after rebooting The second one does Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 & then after rebooting The third ones does all other updates except for Multi-Language Features( which i dont want ) & Windows Critical Update Notification 4.0 The question is How do I turn the cab file that WU downloads to an exe for silent install.

I am looking for info on network load balancing a single server with dual nic's Most of the info I have come accross refers to Clusters. I want to setup a server with Duul Gigabit NIC's , Not nessesarally by the same manufacturer. I want the traffic load balance between the two Nic's. Is this Possible ? Ok Finally fixed. Did unattended install with no Nvidia drivers.. When this is complete do windows update , drivers are copied to a folder called WUtemp, copy & paste these files before they are deleted. USE THESE FOR THE INSTALL EVERTHING OK

If you want to see 0 Critiical & 0 Recomended & WMP10:- Start with Slipstremed SP2 then, SCV-MSX => HMTCDWizard_enu.EXE, NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe SVC-QCH => Q815062_W2K_spl_X86_EN.exe SVC-WMP => mp10setup.exe SVC-X2M => dotnetfx.exe , setup.exe For a network Unattended install I then take the SVCPACK directory & SVCPACK.INF that XPcreate makes and drop them into my i386 directory I know not everyone wants all updates listed install but some may frefer not to see any updates required. Hope this helps some one.

If you already have a XP Gold to SP1a . SP2 over the top is fine. Otherwise if you have an Vanilla XP CD XP Gold to SP2
