  1. I have a disk that I made for my desktop some time ago - at a time when I had no use for wireless. Now wireless is my only choice. I can't remember what specific items I would have removed - Windows Wireless Zero Config service certainly isn't there. I have a D-Link USB WUA-2340 adapter. When I install the drivers from D-Link's Driver CD it says files are missing in some link library. When I use the latest off their site, no errors crop up, I choose use the dlink software to manage networks, enter all the credentials and it says it should connect but nothing happens. I tried the same adapter on my tablet PC and it works fine so I know some components in my desktop windows install must be missing - preventing it from actually connecting. The USB dongle is detected, drivers are installed, the network is detected, WEP key is inserted but nothing happens from there. No attempt to connect is made. I don't know where my original install disk went so this is what I have to work with. Any ideas? Thanks!
