    Man i don't know why you guys are getting so much deep into registries when there is a simple solution available? http://www.ceveni.com/2008/03/disable-auto...in-acrobat.html couple of months i too was facing the same problem where updater was triggering without notice and hogging bandwidth and i found the simple solution in above site which worked for me...
