I am going to chage the setings to the failsafe version and test it. it is a "real" xp CD with the mirosoft hologram, but it is a upgrade cd.

I have not put it on CD. I used the .ISO in VMW. I don't have a 2nd PC to try it on. I am useing the defalt list. I put the Real xp CD in the drive, I run the program, It downloads ever thing, it makes the .ISO, I try it in VMW, I get errors. I even made a .ISO with the same files that I used with XPcreate ($OEM$), and it works. I even tryed taking all the files on the xpcreate.ISO and do them useing ISO Creator. I am going to try to copy all the files in the i386 folder from the xp cd to the xpcreate.ISO that is not alrealy there.

ok, I just tryed adding SETUPLDR.BIN to the cd. now I am geting a NTDETECT failed.

I used XPCREATE, but it got "CDBOOT: Couldn't Find NTLDR". So I tryed puting the file NTLDR in I386 like it is in my other .iso that works, and then used the .iso maker from the MSFN Unattended home page like I normal do.

why are you runing the .msi , and not the .exe?

yup, setup.exe is in setup.

yes, I used the real Windows XP CD. I have even tryed droping the files in a folder and adding the file then used the ISO Creator program to make a new .ISO, but it still say it can not be found.

I run xpcreate and it makes the .ISO, but when I test it, the setup says "CDBOOT: Couldn't Find NTLDR", and NTLDR is not on the .ISO.

I only need to format and then put 2 files on a NTFS partition.

I have tryed to find some but most bootdisk need a flopy and my A: drive kills disk.

it is nice but I am looking for something that will add more then 1 user, and will alow me to do CACLS things (say this user or group can use this, but not this one... so and so can read this but not del it or chage it.), but in a gui way so I can pick a folder or file and say how I would it to be. ( I R layZ boy.)

I am runing XP home, and I could make a .bat file with 'NET USER', NET LOCALGROUP', and 'CACLS', but I am lazy and that would take could take some time to do. I would like to know if anyone has, knowns of, or is making a program that would make a .bat or .inf file to run in the unattended setup. remaber I am useing xp home so I can't use the 'local users and groups console'.

I am runing XP Home so I can't use the Windows Administration Tools Pack that has CMAK, and microsoft says that it is in the old 5.0 of IEAK, but I can't find that. any help?

I am haveing hard time understanding how the program works. 1. do I put a file called "the type of drive" . "the letter I like it to be" on each drive? 2. what else do I have to do to get it to work?

I don't know, after pubery I been able to go to sleep ez'r. I was told by my dad that when I was a baby he would wake up ever day and I would some how got out of my creb and be asleep looking at the TV, or on the keybaord. After I got out of pre-k and could not take naps in school, the 4-5 days driped to 2, but not to long after I started sleeping on the couch ever night till 11th grade so I got sleep most nights. now more people password to keep people off there user, and as a habit.
