  1. yes please, i'd like to know the answer to this question as well.
  2. 8GB HDD 2GB RAM Single Processor running the install from the ISO.
  3. yes it does have the "Press any key..." prompt. and i'm using VMware workstation
  4. i didnt. the only thing i changed on that tab was "delete duplicate files." source was a student edition of XP Pro. i have another copy of xp floating around. i'll give that one a go and see what happens.
  5. well, slipstreaming the full SP3 in did not fix my problem. i'll put in the latest ini file, but nothing changed other than slipstreaming in SP3.
  6. its possible, but if it is, i was unaware of it. downloading proper SP3 for slipstream to see if that helps.
  7. after many an hour fiddling with things, i finally got through the entire process without error and made me an ISO of my install. i wanted to test the thing in a virtual machine before i tried to use it proper, and after a while i noticed an odd behavior. this install process has been running for a little over an hour now, and it seems that every time, after it completes installing network, it reboots and starts over at the installing devices. if i skipped something, or removed something i shouldnt have please let me know. here is the "last session" file if that helps you at all. LAST_SESSION.INI
