  1. THANK YOU...... YOU ROCK I just got into my office loaded the Intel driver you provided and it took care of the issue. I just did something that HP said I my not be able to do. Unfortunately that means a Frys support guy might have been right. I guess he had a 50:50 chance…. Thank you again for your help. I have successfully taken a HP a 6512p from Vista to XP downgrade with out any visible issues at the moment.
  2. Sorry if I am not posting this properly. I just bought a Hp a6512p from Frys. They told me it could be downgraded to XP no problem. I did some reading and every other post said you could and couldn't. I called HP they said it Might be able to e done but they couldn’t help...... The system came with Vista and I might be willing to give it a try but the reason I bought the Computer was for a new tower for work. I was told that Vista will not work with the office network. I went in the BIOS turned the SATA from RAID to IDE. Put the XP disk in run the start up had XP load with out any issue. There were several drivers missing I had downloaded the drivers that were to be needed on a flash drive and started to add them one at a time. Restarting my computer after loading each of them Audio : ftp://152.104.238.19/pc/audio/WDM_R200.exe Network : ftp://202.65.194.211/cn/nic/Driver_5706_XP_1020.zip Chipset : http://downloadmirror.intel.com/1602...inst_autol.exe Modem Driver: http://www.conexant.com/support/files/HSFp_WinXP.zip I am still showing a VGA video controller is not installed. am I missing something or was the load order incorrect? I would have no problem reloading it all if it’s incorrect or do I just need another driver. I thank you for your help in advance
