  1. Thank you all for the input. I'm going to go with Dreamweaver and the 2004 MX suite with Flash and Fireworks. I've been told GoLive can be a bit of a pain to learn.
  2. You guys are no help. However, I was hacking around the registry and found a way to keeping the Internet Explorer's URL address bar drop down list permanently empty (instead of having to manually remove them by Tools/Internet Options or by cleaning out HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Typed URLs) Here's what you to permanently disable the IE address bar drop down list: 1. In Registry, navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Typed URLs 2. Right click on the "Typed URLs" key (or folder as presented in the tree.) 3. Click "Permissions..." 4. Click Administrator (for global setting) or user you are logged in as. 5. Click Deny check boxes for Full Control and Read. 6. Click "OK" Now, when you open a browser and surf, the IE address bar drop down list will always be empty. It's a bit of a hack but beats having to constantly clean the history manually. SeattleSLK.

  4. I know it is possible because I had done a reg tweak that always kept the drop down list empty. I just recently rebuilt my computer and and is trying to find the tweak again....
  5. Newb here .... I wanted to ask what you folks here use for website design tools. I've been checking out Dreamweaver, GoLive and FrontPage. Could any webmaster guru types give pros/cons of the above applications?? Thanks much!! SSLK.
  6. This question doesn't apply directly to UWF, but you guys are the gurus of reg tweaks so I wanted to ask the following question: How do I permanently disable caching of typed-in URLs in the address bar's drop down list. This is the drop down list box that shows up in the address bar in Internet Explorer. The addresses in the drop box can be removed via <Clear History> button in Internet Options. It is possible but I just haven't been able to Google it anywhere. Thanks! SSLK.
  7. I remeber seeing a registry hack a while back that permanently disables caching of typed-in URLs in the address bar's drop down list. Anyone know if the registry settings?? Thanks! S-SLK.
