3. Hey out there. I just wanted to resize my XP Pro SP2. I want to delete all languages except "German(Austria)" and "English (USA)", but it doesnt work. I can start deleting it, but the languages are still in that image. Not only that, the image is getting bigger (some bytes), i think because of the created log in the image-folder. Can u help me here?
4. Hello. As u can see in my "Windows Server 2008 Feature"-Thread, im trying to install WLAN-Service before using vlite to resize the Server x64-Image. I was using aviv00's Thread to do this. So i created the file "serverx64.bat", changed the "serverx64.xml" and started the bat. Please have a look at my log.txt. It shows an success with the last thread. Theres an error at the first thread. Whats wrong here? 2008-11-04 16:57:12, Info CBS Pkgmgr: called with: "pkgmgr /o:C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64;C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64\Windows /n:C:\Serverx64.xml /l:C:\log" 00000001 Shim considered [l:332{166}]"\??\C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64\Windows\Servicing\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_657dfccc7fa7eb9a\pkgmgr.exe" : got STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND 2008-11-04 16:57:12, Info CSI 00000001 Shim considered [l:332{166}]"\??\C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64\Windows\Servicing\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_657dfccc7fa7eb9a\pkgmgr.exe" : got STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND 00000002 Shim considered [l:326{163}]"\??\C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_657dfccc7fa7eb9a\pkgmgr.exe" : got STATUS_SUCCESS 2008-11-04 16:57:12, Info CSI 00000002 Shim considered [l:326{163}]"\??\C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Serverx64\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6001.18000_none_657dfccc7fa7eb9a\pkgmgr.exe" : got STATUS_SUCCESS 2008-11-04 16:57:13, Info CBS Pkgmgr: return code: 0x26 I was installing "Desktop Experience" for Aero and the "Wireless Networking" Service. I dont know, which service-installation successed, so i have to ask u now. Thanks in advance.
5. I already did, but i dont understand what i have to do^^... ------------------------------------------------------------------- I created a bat with this: "type Untitled.xml start /w pkgmgr /o:E:\Work\WimMount;E:\Work\WimMount\Windows /n:Untitled.xml /l:log echo %ERRORLEVEL%" I placed the untitled.xml and the bat into "Server x64\Sources", theres the pkgmgr.exe. Then im going to start the bat, it says the app isnt a x64-app. Logically, i understand this, cause im using winxp x32 atm. Could u tell me, which line i have to add into untitled.xml to install WLAN-Service? And which OS do i have to use to use the bat? Only works with vista x64 for example?
6. Yesterday i installed XP Pro SP3 and Server 2008. Choosing the OS works, if u install XP first, and then server. Server checks if theres another installation of windows and gives u an option for choosing which os u want to start. For me it looks like: - Old version of Windows - Windows Server 2008
7. Hey Guys. I want to use vlite on Server 2008 x64. I heard, that the option adding rolls and features wont be usable after using vlite on it. So, i want to delete some i dont need. But i need 3 features: Desktopthingy (for Aero), TCP/IP-Services and WLAN. After installing server, i cant add these features anymore. Is there a possibility installing these features with vlite or waik before creating the iso? Thanks in advance! //EDIT: OK, lets say installing WLAN-Service before creating the ISO.
