  1. i don't suppose you actually have an answer instead of simply merging my two posts? neither of which have gotten a reply. is there a way for my to bump?
  2. thanks for the reply. i kind of figured that the streamlining of drivers was going to be limited to simple .inf hardware drivers... and nothing needing extra programs for complete functionality.
  3. i asked earlier, but didn't get any replies... is there a guide - or preferred method - for installing programs that require you to put in a validation key? automatically, i mean. or am i limited to including them on the disk and just manually installing?
  4. working with my first effort wiht nlight, and need some help. all the drivers i need to install for my dell laptop are in HUGE installation bundles. i want to streamline them into my installation disk, but i'm afraid of losing lots of functionality if i use only the .inf file. for example, the driver pack for my ALPS pointing-device is almost 5 megs and has 41 different files in it. i think it's because most include utilities along with the actual driver. would i be better off putting the "setup.exe" to be run after installation?
  5. does anyone have the time, or know an old thread, that explains basically from start to finish the process of including a program as an ADDON, that requires you to normally enter a registration key? i have the program and the registration key, just trying to figure out how to automate the process so that i don't have to do anything extra when it's time to use the cd
  6. i've downloaded the Addon Maker, and seen different tools for configuring silent installs, but how do i go about installing a registered program automatically? for example, i've got both AnyDVD and CloneDVD from slysoft, and both have registry keys that i need to enter. of course, i have my keys, but i would like to automate that process as well. do i need to make .nfo files and include them in the patch list so that they'll run and update my registry? what about automating the process where i click to "register your product" and then have to put in the cd-key from the packaging? sorry if there's already been a thread about this, i couldn't find it. thanks!
