  1. Sorry if it is against your rules but it is funny anyway because linked programs are as much illegal because they break license of Windows OS :-).
  2. 2Tripredacus: My mistake. No matter which is the source of updates but do integrate them first and then start removing components.
  3. I spent almost one month with reading this forum and trying to make custom lighted version Windows 7 x64. There are a lot of threads and topics about this problems but guides and advices are often incomplete, wrong and nonfunctional in my case. And what is more a lot of these guides using vLite and 3 different version of WAIK because vLite is old and crappy peace of software now. Also there are tons of customized .bat and .inf files and it seems to me that everybody has to have his own original procedure of setup. Well shortly chaos... So I would like very briefly describe easy method how one can make EASY fully functional updated and streamlined version of Windows 7 x64. What you will need: RT Se7en Lite http://www.rt7lite.com/ Windows 7 Toolkit http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/files/file/5-windows-7-toolkit/ Rt7-Booster (WinterStorm 2050) http://www.rtwincustomize.net/web/index.php?/topic/8953-rt7-booster/ Untouched MS Windows 7 - en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332.iso SoLoR Updates -- or Microsoft Update Catalog Configuration file for RT7 Lite http://www.rtwincustomize.net/web/index.php?/topic/7146-components-to-keep/ 1. Use RT Se7en Lite to ONLY integrate SoLoR Updates 2. Run Windows 7 Toolkit and choose Component Removal (DISM procedure) and delete packages (I deleted all packages except red ones=critical, local printer service and .net 3.5.1; name and description of packages is (in Windows 7 Toolkit) sufficient to decide individually) 3. Start RT Se7en Lite with Configuration file for RT7 Lite and add your additional tweaks etc. 4. Use Rt7-Booster and select only modules which correspond with removed components from step 3; in the case of untouched Configuration file for RT7 Lite you should use all modules (you can also integrate IE 9 and delete content of WinSxs folder here) 5. Your lighted Win 7 x64 are finished. Final ISO file should has 1.3-1.8 GB according to used updates and removed components Actually I removed some additional components (in comparsion with default Configuration file for RT7 Lite) according to WinterStorm 2050 guide and I have fully functional Win 7 for games, wifi and cable Internet and also for work. I have found out only two problems. It is not possible to install Rosetta Stone software because it depends on running Windows Firewall service (during installation only). And also if you completely remove Windows Media Player and codecs (with Windows 7 Toolkit) it would not be possible to install some programs required WMP. Usually some encyclopedias or learning software. So be there careful. You can still run such a software in a virtual machine. You can get down some more MBs deleting unnecessary files while Windows is mounted. Just find this file somewhere at this forum "batch7x64sp1.bat" :-).
  4. Same parametrs: vLite 1.2, WAIK SP1 under XP SP2 and Vista SP1. Please excuse my basic information, but maybe it will be helpful for someone. So I vLited Vista SP1, and whole process was successful, with no error. After that I wanted to try my ISO, so I mounted it with Daemon Tools. And I got an error, immediately at the begining of installation of Vista, exactly when system cached files from medium, (before first installation window "please enter your serial" ...). I burned my ISO on DVD and got same error. Error log says 0x000000..., not enough system resources or something like that (processor, RAM, disk space are OK). I suspected Daemon Tools. I uninstalled it, restarted PC and made ISO with exactly same configuration like the one with error. And without Daemon Tools it worked fine, no harmfull problem. Is there any known relation among vLite, Vista and Daemon Tools?
  5. I sent it, but maybe not well described, because nobody responsed. And I think that it is a frequent error. So again... I have notebook Dell D630. I vLited ISO (Vista ULTIMATE x86 SP1 Integrated September 2008 OEM DVD-BIE) with vLite 1.2, WAIK SP1 under XP SP2 and Vista SP1 and after installation this vLited ISO got again and again BSOD Stop 0x0000007(crcdisk.sys). I tried a couple of solutions (integrate SATA drivers, disable DVDRom in BIOS, BIOS tweaks and other advices on web...) Nothing helped. So I started to experiment with vLite features and after many wrong ISOs, I got ONE which worked. And my problem was in Tweaks feature in vLite. I can do anything (integrate drivers, hotfixs, language, make very small ISO), but when I make something in Tweaks I have problem... Is it weird? So if you have BSOD Stop 0x0000007 (crcdisk.sys STOP in Safe mode) with vLited ISO, try to disable TWEAKS.
  6. Hello. I can not integrate these hotfixs: MS Windows Search 4.0, KB942288, Group Policy Preferences CSE and KB951072 --> error in pkgmgr.exe My SW: vLite 1.2, WAIK for SP1, Vista SP1, make in Win XP SP2. Any suggestion? UPDATE: My Win XP Sp2 is nLited. Maybe it is a source of problem, or whole XP environment, because when I did same integration under Vista SP1, everything was OK. Vista kills XP :-(
  7. Hardware: Notebook Dell D630 Software: vLite 1.2, WAIK, Windows XP SP2 Important feature: Bios AHCI disabled; installing on first partion of clean HDD Step 1: clean install of Vista ULTIMATE x86 SP1 Integrated September 2008 OEM DVD-BIE was without trouble Step 2: vLiting this image makes after last installation restar classic error (Stop 0x0000007) vLite configuration (only changes from default): Integration -> czech language Components -> removed many, but without Storage drivers Tweaks -> Security: DEP-Disabled System: Hibernation-Off Power button-Shutdown Sleep button-Do nothing Explorer: CP classic-Enabled Show extension-Yes Show hidden files-Yes Services: Print spooler, Task Sheduler, Windows Update-Manual Unattendet -> Selected this version on install-Checked Acept EULA-Checked Regional: Specifity-All on Czech Final ISO: 890 MB Tried solutions: -disabled my DVD in Bios after instalation -manual loading Intel Matrix Storage and Turbo Memory drivers at the begining of Vista instalation -integrate Intel Matrix Storage and Turbo Memory drivers -about 20 differnt ISO making with various configuration RESULT: still error (Stop 0x0000007) Step 3: vLiting Vista with same configuration but section Tweaks is disabled -> FINALLY worked ISO (890 MB) even with an activation from DVD-BIE. Experiment: Bios: AHCI-enabled -> error (Stop 0x0000007) AHCI-disabled -> no error so manual update ATA drivers with Intel driver (R154200.exe) and registry tweak from MS (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci->0) AHCI-enabled -> no error Conclusion: somewhere in vLite code is mistake activated by tunning in section Tweaks which looks like error (Stop 0x0000007) but it isn’t.
