  1. I had downloaded to ISO for the vb 2008 express yesterday, and installed vb2008 express, vb2008 C# express, and the vb2008 C++ express. So today I'm going to start going thru the video tutorial and start searching other sites to help me get going into programming, and I will look into coding4fun site also. thanxs crahak
  2. I would like to learn how to program but not sure where to start. To make this clear I have no programming knowledge what so ever. Also what program language should I learn. because I don't know the difference of c, c++, delphie, python, etc, etc. So because of how tight my money is I need what ever i need to build a program that is free and I'm not talking about warez neither.
  3. I successfully made a working stand alonne after 2 bad dvd burn. lol each bad burn i learned what i did wrong and corrected it in the next burn. Since I have this part down, I have some interesting questions. when the burn disk start I would like to put in a main category name lets AAAA then within in AAAA it has sub categories such as A111, A222, A333, A444. at which lets say there is a total of 5 main categories. And set the main category to a different color text instead the same color text with rest of the text, plus change the size of the text also. So when the user see the following categories AAAA, BBBB, CCCC, DDDD, EEEE, and when one of the category is picked it will show the downloads for that category with it broken down to sub category that fit for that particuliar file. then once the user is finish selecting the programs to install, the user has the ability to go back to the main category page to select the next category to install from. Can something like this be done in WPI, even if it means to go in and manually editing certain files. P.S. I try the best i could to explain on what I like to do, if it's not explain enough just ask me and i'll do my best to answer the question.
  4. Ok I got it fix, I had to go into the useroption.js file and make a change on the line that says ShowExtraButtons=false; to say ShowExtraButtons=true;
  5. I'm talking about changing the theme in WPI, some how the install wizard is in windows theme and I need to change that particuliar theme, since there's no option to access the option and config buttons.
  6. I don't know how it happen, but the theme is set to windows. How can I get into the option to change this theme, because in the window theme it doesn't have option, configure, etc, etc, just the option to how to check boxes and to install. I try and do a search in the WPI forum, no matter how i word the search it wasn't producing the appropriate search. I also went thru the manual and didn't see anything about this, unless I over looked it in the manual by accident. So is there a file i can manually edit to change the theme?
  7. Thanxs Kelsenellenelvian for the info on where my organize folders need to go, and the answer to the other questions i had.
  8. I've spent a day last week downloading allot of different types of programs. In my download folder it's broken down into category/sub catagory and there's some that cat/sub/sub. The total size of this folder is around 3.5GB (woot almost fill a blank DVD. lol), but my question is this. As I look at the suggested folder layout, can I use my layout in my download folder in the WPI folder, if so where about in the main WPI folder. I know for the stand alone it won't contain any of the folders that is on the xp install cd. Then it comes to the config in the WPI Wizard, the category drop down list, by doing other and then typing in the cat/sub or cat/sub/sub I was wondering if it will take it. While I'm on this subject, can i put the name for AA, description, unique ID, category, then add BB the same way then CC, so forth. Once I get them in could i go back to finish filling out the rest of the info starting with AA. or should I just complet efverything at the same time say like AA, then move on to the next program?
  9. Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening. Whatever the case is at your time zone right now when your reading this I been visiting MSFN forum off and on for the past couple of years, looking for information , at which about 90% of the time i found a solution here. But because of my interests, I figured it was time to sign up. Currently trying to learn how to use nlite and WPI. I can say that nlite took a back seat for now, because WPI had really caught my interest. I hope to have a very good expiernce here on MSFN. See everyone around on the forum. SiNiStEr NaTiOn
