  1. Thanks but its just a shame you cant empty the cache its using about 70mb for vista and the rest is a cache I suppose ill just have to keep using windows 2000
  2. get vlc... http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  3. Simple, don't update it. I haven't updated since I installed vista... i think i actually took the update feature out... and no viruses for me!! Just make sure your behind a hardware firewall.
  4. Oh come on, I have 512mb ram and 1.8 sempron processor!! just disable all the crap that comes with it. even better get vista lite... www.vlite.net
  5. Okay, Okay, I know that vista using all your memory is a "good" thing. But I play games and only have 512MB or ram. I played battlefield 2 then closed it and vista used around 100mb after i closed it where it usually uses 400mb. I then played another game and it performed the fastest it has. just like it would in windows 2000. I am asking how do i lower the memory usage of vista without playing battlefield 2? I have already took out readyboost superfetch and literally everything except notepad and paint.
