  1. Your Welcome! Glad your up and going.
  2. What browser are you using? IE, Firefox? It could also be a WinSock problem. Download this app for fixing WinSock. WinSock Fix Tool Go to this Tutorial and follow it.
  3. What is the error you are getting? Page can't be displayed maybe? This is Google's IP, http://72.14.207.99/ past it into the address bar and see if you get a page. If you do then your problem is most likely your DNS. Try flushing the DNS cache. Close any open browsers. Click start \ Run and type CMD and hit enter. Type ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. This will clean out the DNS Cache. Now open your browser and see if you have access.
  4. Click start\Run and type regedit and navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer Right click in an empty spot in the right pan and create a new DWORD value for NoRecentDocsHistory and NoRecentDocsMenu, or if they are there already modify the existing value by double clicking. Set the Data Value to 1 and save the value and close the registry editor. The next time you start Windows, your recent documents folder would remain empty and the menu option will no longer be there and won't track your open documents.
