  1. Ok i got that working now i cant get the cmdline.txt to work right!
  2. When setup starts it does it's usual stuff, then says reading setup information... THEN THE DARN THING STARTS A NORMAL ATTENDED SETUP!!! The disc is a enterprise edition volume license disc. Service pack 1a was slipstreamed to it as part of making the unattended disc. Here is my winnt.sif (located inside the I386 folder on the cd) ;SetupMgrTag [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS Repatrition=No UnattendedSwitch="yes" WaitForReboot="No" FileSystem=* [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=#(some really long md4 hash)# EncryptedAdminPassword=Yes OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=35 OemSkipWelcome=1 [Display] Xresolution=1024 Yresolution=768 [UserData] ProductID=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX FullName="XXXXXXXX" OrgName="XXXXXXXX" ComputerName=comp1 [Identification] JoinWorkgroup=wkgp [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes [Shell] DefaultStartPanelOff=Yes DefaultThemesOff=Yes
  3. I did follow everything as it says on the guide but it still doesn't work. and yes i did put winnt.sif in the I386 folder
  4. Opps, the actual volume label of the cd is "WXPVOL_EN"
  5. I have a volume license copy of Windows XP Pro. I read the XP unattended install guide at unattended.msfn.org The problem is, when ever i start steup it never uses the winnt.sif file! The CD has a volume label of ENT not OEM if that helps. I think that since it is an enterprise disk not an oem disk that that is the problem but i'm not entirely sure. If some one could enlighten me please do.
