  1. Hi guys, Trying set up OWA for work, got most of the way but trying to get rid of the need for "domain\username". I've tried adding "\" "domain" "domain.local" "servername.domain.local" to IIS and system manager (obviously testing one at a time)... but it's still prompting for a **** domain! Any ideas chaps? Thanks
  2. For anyone that cares I turned "sub paper size" to auto on the printer
  3. Going to try and set the printer to just print to A4 if it gets a letter request, although i'm not sure what this'll do for the ratios and if it will mess anything up
  4. Hi guys, Trying to cut down on printing costs so have been toying with printers lately. Noticed that IE + Outlook both default to "letter" instead of A4 which is causing errors/delays on printing. Anyway apart from manually setting it to A4 everytime via GP or similar. Of course everyone thinks it's my fault.... Thanks.
  5. Ok- resolved! Surfcontrol uses port 25 on the server which filters then forwards onto port 26 (exchange has been changed). Put port 26 in and everything is good now!!!! Argh!

  8. Thanks for the reply. When I telnet I get this far; 220 server ESMTP ready at Tue, 05 Aug 2008 12:11:58 +0100 helo 192.168.1.4 250 server Hello Unknown, ready to receive from - 192.168.1.4 mail from: xxx@xxx.com 501 Address Syntax Error in xxx@xxx.com This is an exchange server yes, I can't seem to find ANYTHING on the server tho that would indicate me to how/what this is setup with. I only have "(mailnickname=*)" in my receipt policies.... I'm sure this is all very simply stuff but I've never really played with SMTP and have some into a network with no documentation at all.
  9. Hi, If you add the printer this way it's USER based. So won't display for all users. You could push out a batch file via group policy to install it? Eg: " @echo off rem * Deletes printer (so no duplicates everytime * rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /q /dl /n "printer name" rem ** Adds printer * rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "name you want to give printer" /f "path of printer driver" /r "\\server\printersharename" /m "exact name of driver used on server (in right click properties, advanced, driver" /z " Hope this helps.
  10. Hi guys, I have a problem with SMTP on a 2003 server. It's running as I get; 220 xxxx ESMTP ready at Tue, 05 Aug 2008 11:04:36 +0100 When I try and telnet into it, I can send emails via outlook express but not via command prompt (telnet) or any programs (backup exec for example). Any ideas? I get 501 Syntax error when trying to mail from: Thanks.
