Hi @rhadamants it didn't work for me. ie8 didn't install. I put "IE8-WindowsXP-KB968220-x86-TRK.exe" to HF folder. Am I right ? And KB905474 in HF folder. But also it didn't install. They are appear on windows update site. Can you make "hfslip-1.7.9_beta_f.cmd" for both of them. And please can you upload fixed "hfslip-1.7.9_beta_f.cmd" for us. Thanks for working. You should also put IE8-WindowsXP-x86-TRK.exe in HF folder. You only have the KB update. As far for kb905474, I think you have the older version. You should download 1.9.40.0 version. You should find it in "WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download" folder after you manually install it through WU.

My Vote is drop IE7, but many people still using IE7. edit: I think that the missing "show desktop" shortcut has something to do with the ie7_fixes. Can you check that?

Hi! I did the mods on latest 1.7.9 hfslip and it is working. IE8 + KB968220 is installed. Just correct this line: I had to change PTB to ELL to work to my language. You have to correct this to work in every language. Also I don't know if this has to do with the modifications of the script but the "Show Desktop" shortcut in the "Quick Launch Bar" dissapeared. Can you correct that? Superb work. Thank you

Is it possible to slipstream IE8 with hfslip 2.0modded and then all other updates with hfslip 1.7.9 ??

I tried the modified hfslip but at first stage of install I got an error that it says that system cannot copy ie8props.propdesc

No, it does not show up in WU (as far as my build is concern) I have KB968220-IE8.CAT located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\KB968220-IE8.CAT in my installed XP. U can check if your exists or not. (I'm not sure if this is the one that cause WU to shown up kb968220) Well, the kb968220-ie.cat is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE} but the WU insist to update. Very strange I'll try now

kb909520 showed up on my WU. I downloaded Windows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ELL and added in HF folder and installed OK. You can add this update in XP Hfslip List.

I think you have to remove IE7-WindowsXP-KB956390-x86-ENU.exe from your list.

I think I can install AIO .NET from svcpack and then at first logon I can install KB961118 with "/Passive /NoRestart" switches. I'll try that later today.

You can create an AIO switchless installer of NET 1+2+3 + SPs + Languages with "Silent .NET Maker synthesized" and then put it in HFSVCPACK folder and the run hfslip.

lol. I am a "microsoft up to date" type of guy. Even I don't use wmp11, I like every update to be installed. As far for 961118 it is strange because it is stated as Windows XP critical update and it cannot be slipstreamed with Silent NET Maker and I thought it could be slipstreamed to XP source. Thank you for the explanation.

There are 2 new updates on my WU (kb959772 and kb961118). Are they safe to add them at HF Folder?

I use hfslip on clean source, and then driverpack without problem on xp. But you have to keep this order: 1st hfslip then driverpack.
