  1. I'm new to nLite, but I noticed a lot of people with the same problem. Evidently, they haven't found the answer. No, the other post was a different problem, I thought. I used caps because I was shouting with glee. However, I promise I will not post again. Goodbye and good luck. P.S. It's strange nobody told me, if everyone new it.
  2. Once you have slipstreamed (integrated) your XP files, you cannot do it again unless you replace the files on your computer from your original XP installation disk. If you don't, you will get errors. Once you have slipstreamed, you can just click on through to get to the screens you want to correct. Had I known this, I could have saved a couple days work. I have also found that nLite will not change my screen resolution without asking. Arnold
  3. HOT DARN!!!!! It worked!!!!!! I found that changes were made in my folder containing the original XP files. I went to my backup and recopied them. Now I need to figure out how to get nLite to install my programs, so I won't have to deal with them after I install XP. Thanks a bunch, Arnold
  4. No, I don't hate you. I appreciate your help. I'm going to start over. Like I said, I am using my original installation disks, and they are "read only". I don't know how much cleaner I can get. I'll let you know. Thanks, Arnold
  5. The dependency box is checked. In the delete box it has clock.avi, yahoo.bmp, and swtchbrd.bmp. When I made my hardware support, etc. the boxes came up telling this and that needs this. I selected the "yes". so what else should I look for?
  6. There is a lot of presets on the CD. The last session looks entirely different than the one in my presets folder. Should I have reformated it before rerecording it? Here is my last preset on the CD: Thanks, Arnold LAST_SESSION.INI
  7. It's been a while since I used it. I don't remember all the problems, but it nearly put me out of business. I belong to several forums, and a lot people agreed with me, and uninstalled it. Arnold
  8. I don't know when it disappears. It disappears when I use all of the nLite tweaks, etc. I've done the process 15 times now. Here's my Preset: Thanks, Arnold Last_Session.ini
  9. So you just removed the IPSEC Policy Agent? Booting from the CD or using winnt.exe? Tried the ISO in a virtual machine? Why don't you use SP3? Make sure that your installation files are clean, not previously tampered with anything, only SP slipstream is recommended, at least until you find the cause. I am using SP2 because SP3 really screwed things up. The XP disk I am using is original. The SP2 disk came from Microsoft. I don't know what the IPSEC Policy Agent is. I am booting from the CD. I haven't tried a virtual machine. Don't really know how. Thanks, Arnold
  10. This is even easier. Just download this little script, rename it to .vbs and run it. xp_messenger_remove.exe
  11. I hope you can help me. It looks like a great program. Last_Session.ini
  12. I tried this program so I could minimize the installation and to install it unattended. I have tried it for three days now. All I get is "xxxxx file could not be found". The only way I can get it to run is just to do an integration with SP2.
  13. Same problem with 1.4.7. Can't contact nLite.
