  1. Yes we all have our opinions about M$ and just because we say no warez does not mean that we are hiding behind M$. There are thousands of other companies out there who also have software that can be cracked so we are attempting to do right for all. M$ will get their own one day for doing as they have but it is not up to us to put warez on here just to try to fight them or something. Getting cracks of any kind is stealing! Plain and simple! We are not a forum that supports theft. I think that is a better way to put it instead of cowering from M$. Rick:rolleyes:
  2. Very funny boogs! My memory is 512MB's for those who insist on correctness! LOL Rick:D
  3. Sedative and I must have replied at the same time...cause I just noticed his post.[/color:6adfec3523] 1) General rule of thumb: Always do a clean install when upgrading an OS. There is no reason to buy the full unless you do a whole lot of reformatting and you don't want to have to load Win98 and then XP every time. You can do a clean install from the upgrade CD. 2) You can dual boot but Win98 has to be first and your c: drive. If you want to be able to access files from Win98 and XP while in the opposite OS, you must make sure you format the XP partition as Fat32 not NTFS. 3) The upgrade replaces files altogether...XP operates on a completely different system from Win98...more like Win2000. Just buy the upgrade, partition your hard drive for two OS's and then clean install WinXP to your new partition. Rick
  4. Last time I heard...this was many updates ago...TweakXP was causing system crashes and stuff like that. I did like the memory manager but I have 512k so I have found it hard to use up that much very often. Rick:cool:
  5. Should have some jets on the bottom to send you straight through your ceiling! That would be a rush! LOL Rick:D
  6. Wlll I'll Be!!! Darn I didn't know that till just now. This ole windows xp has been updating my clock and I didn't even know it. Hmmm...makes me wonder...what else is going to M$ that I don't know about? Rick:cool:
  7. Haha! Now that's for the gaming addict man! I could put that money into a great computer upgrade! Rick:D
  8. Rick

    Stable my butt

Did you build this one yourself or buy it off the shelf? Rick:cool:
  9. Okay...so you have studied up on the chicken killing process you sissy! Eat the brain...probably the best part of it! Haha....LOL Rick:D :assshake
  10. Dear Lord! Are people still using this thing? Has it improved from the early days or is just an update to one up on the warez community? I remember when I last used it, it was total junk! Rick:cool:
  11. What you probably found was a liver! Yes, people here actually eat chicken livers and they look like brains. How could a chickens brain get into any part of their body? They cut off a chickens head when they kill them! And for the mutated chickens thing? I think that would be brilliant if they could do that but unfortunately, it's false...so I'll continue to eat my KFC thank you! LOL Rick:D
  12. Everything except for what I love....Electronics!!! Rick:D
  13. Boogs! You make me sick! You get to go down to your local electronics store and get stuff that won't be out here for another year! LOL Did you read about the 1 terabyte cd/dvd disc that will be coming out in Japan soon? Check out the tech section Rick:cool:
  14. Buck...you got me worried man! Have you ever tried to build a PC? The best way to learn is to try but I noticed that you have a limited knowledge on the differences in the chips, etc. I'm not trying to dog you but I hate to see anybody fall into disaster and that is exactly what will happen if you try to build your own PC and you don't know what you are doing. Duron is like a Celeron chip is to a PentiumIII, P4, etc. but it is much better than a Celeron. Athlon is the P4 for AMD. Rick:D
  15. No...no...no! You got it all wrong Boogs. Bad comparison. You are trying to say that AMD is a cheaper (in quality) chip. No way! The only reason that Intel has such expensive chips is because they were once the monopoly but believe me...their time is up! Just do some review reading! Go to tomshardware.com...you will see who makes the Beemer! Rick:cool:
  16. AMD not only clocks at much faster speeds than the comparable Intel chip but it is much cheaper. However, there is a much bigger thing that makes AMD attractive. In the past few years, if you wanted to go up in speed with the Intel chips, you had to get a new mobo...at least four different ones I think. Meanwhile, AMD has remained with the same socket A mobo since the release of Athlon. Just a thought! Rick:cool:
  17. Chris is putting you with the best memory! Not the cheapest! LOL But they do have good deals on weekends. Rick
  18. Go with Crucial.com....they are cheap and they are also good. Don't get caught with some cheap memory just because you wanted to save $3 or $4. Rick:cool:
  19. Can it be done without screwing up XP? If so...please enlighten me because anytime I have tried it...XP gets screwed up and I have to reformat. Rick:cool:
  20. I think most of the changes that have taken place between 2000 and XP are behind-the-scenes. They originally had it in to put those tags in Windows XP but after vendors pitched a fit, they removed them. XP is very good but I honestly haven't noticed a performance difference between the two, plus there's the annoying WPA in XP. I wouldn't make the upgrade if I had 2000. Rick:cool:
  21. Alright..I want to put Win98se on but I don't want to kill XP. Is there a way to partition a drive with XP on it without killing the OS? It has never worked when I tried it before. Rick:cool:
  22. Warning to all of you...Phreaks is right. You need to research your PC by every component and take your time when picking out the parts you want to make a PC. There are so many little things that if you don't match up right, you will screw it all up! Go to www.tomshardware.com and read the reviews there. That is an excellent review site and also, just ask others before you buy the part. The problem is that everybody has a different opinion about what is good so take it with a grain of salt but it will help you to find more resources. Also remember this...I hate prebuilt computers and won't buy another one but if you don't have the time to troubleshoot your own stuff, don't build one. Buy it prebuilt...they test everything to make sure that it all works together before they send it to you and if it doesn't...they have to fix it! Just my simple advice. Rick:cool:
  23. Maybe we'll make it into a magazine or something! Rick:cool:
  24. The new 6.0 version is out and I am interested to know if there are any improvements....I will tell you this...this is no super simple thing to program. You have to spend at least an hour reading to it in order to get it to get half of what you want to appear when you say it and then you have to spend a lot of time yourself trying to learn all of the commands for punctuations, etc. I give up on it nearly every time I try to use it because it is just too time consuming to learn and to get the thing to type what you are actually saying. Rick
  25. Haha! Yeah...you have reached the end of the internet...go back...now. That's the Direct TV commercial. I like the look on his face when he goes back to his wife. Rick <><
