  1. If your running Symantec System Center you can add Hacktool.Hidewindow to the global security risk exclusion list. On a stand-alone client it's easy too.. Configure> File System Auto-Protect> Actions> Security Risks> Exceptions> Add.. ..or you could switch from SAV to AVG.. -SteveM
  2. I have the same **** problem -SteveM EDIT: SP2 build 2096
  3. Apparently you can't have blank values for the Manufacturer and Model entries in oeminfo.ini.. and sadly I might have already known that at one point in time and forgot. Anyway I put in a space or a nbsp and it works now The reason we didn't want to include the Manufacturer/Model here was so we didn't have to bother with changing it on each type of computer we install. -SteveM
  4. All, I'm also having a problem with $OEM$.. I have included a known good OEMLOGO.BMP and OEMINFO.INI file in $OEM$\$$\system32. The two files _are_ being copied over to the correct folder on the install computer (%windir%\System32).. but they aren't showing up in the system properties! I've tried rebooting. I've tried deleting and replacing the two files, but our logo and info refuse to appear! My next step (I guess), is going to be removing the files from $OEM$ and running the unattended install then seeing if they appear when I manually copy them in like we normally do. If that doesn't work there must be some other unattend setting/tweak that's preventing the OEMLOGO/OEMINFO files from appearing.. I'm taking advise/suggestions -SteveM :edit I ran file mon while opening system properties on a computer that is working and the computer that is not working. On the working computer theres about 50 successful entries for accessing OEMINFO.INI and 18 successful entries for accessing OEMLOGO.BMP. On the non-working computer only 7 succesful entries accesing OEMINFO.INI and no entries for OEMLOGO.BMP. Same OEM file, same OEM place.
