  1. Hi guys, Thanks for taking time out to answer my question(s)... I certainly did not think of installing twice! Im grateful that jaclaz has clarified and more on his part. But thanks to Ponch for answering my question too.
  2. Thanks for your input. Hmmm...but just to confirm will MS Office 2007 install and work alright on FAT32 then?
  3. Recently I bought a 160GB HDD for my laptop, and I had 4 partitions on it. First partition, I have XP, and the second partition I have Win7. The third partition is FAT32 to be used mainly for transferring of data (between linux and windows) and installing of programs. The last partition is reserved for Ubuntu, currently is still not set up. There are a few programs that I have installed on the third partition, which XP and Win7 are sharing. For now, all the programs are installed while I was in XP, and then created shortcuts in Win7 partition to make use of the programs. I do understand that not all programs can work this way. Question: Is it possible to install MS Office 2007 on the FAT32 partition for such sharing? My apologies if this has been answered before. I tried googling but was unable to find any answers.
  4. Thanks to both. I have submitted the file to virustotal. Some of the virus programs returned trojan results and others didnt return anything. But i noticed Sophos returned a result of "disabled system file check dll". I guess its nothing to worry about...
  5. Hi Kurt, When you were nLiting the W2K, did you disable SFC? And what antivirus program are you using? And subsequently did your PC sound another warning when the scan is running? Thanks. -TG
  6. While nlite is making an iso file, my Avast antivirus sounded with a warning about my sfc.dll been infected by "Win32:Trojan-gen". I have been using the same CD to do a full W2K install on my PIII laptop and have not encountered the above error before. Prior to that, I have scanned my laptop and it didnt turn up any virus warnings. Has anyone encountered this? Thanks.
  7. Yes, there is. It is named unins000.exe. It can be found in %ProgramFiles%\nLite. Thanks all for your suggestion. Both times when I re-ran the installer, I was away from the desk and then the third time I re-ran the installer I saw it being unzipped. *red-face*. I realized I downloaded and installed using the zip installer, hence no uninstall file. My apologies.
  8. Not exactly. nLite will only modify Windows 2000, XP and 2003 sources but will run under Vista. I tried running it and found that it did run as normal since there wasnt any errors but I wasnt sure if it would work reliably i.e. no corruption of files. So if I want to delete it, I can just delete the files, right?
  9. Sorry I should have mentioned I tried the two methods in my initial post. But there isnt any unistall.exe though.
  10. I have installed nLite1.4.6 on my Windows Vista machine and I now realize that the system requirements for nlite excludes Vista. So now I would like to remove nLite but I am not able to find it in "Programs and Features". Im not able to find the entry in the registry as well. Is it safe to just delete the program files? If not, can someone direct me as to how to totally remove it from the system. Thanks.
