Not necessary, stop thinking negative. Something happen to one of my family members and we all had to let this person go, i know how to deal with it, because i have alot of faith, but i was disappointed with myself because i couldn't save this person or resurrect this person. Wish i had the power to do so tho.

No worries. Its cool, and both programs are cool, i just have to stay away from system file programs. Windows blinds is pretty cool tho, the free version. peace

Well the program changes or replaces all of you system dll files, or whatever. After installing the program, i couldn't run like half of my programs. So when i tried uninstalling it, after restarting my computer, the custom logo was still there, and my folder files was all white and would not turn back. I do not like reinstalling windows, even tho it only takes me about 20-30mins, and about 2 hours to get everything back, not really a big deal, however i don't like doing it. So your program is interesting, but it conflicts with system files, which is a no no with me. So i am back now, and i will just use windows blinds or just stick with the plain on w2k os skins. peace

You know what, i am not even going to get mad or say too much. But i tried uninstalling this program, because it wasn't working well to began with, ( not going into details, but some of my programs stop working , ) and now all my icons look like a POS. Just like Uberskin, i am passing on all of these programs that mess around with your system files. Use at your own risk? LOL yea i see. So now i have to reinstall windows 2000 and start all over again. Thats all i am going to say, just trying to stay calm here. The only good thing, it only takes about 20 mins to reinstall w2k, the bad thing, i have put everything , and every program back, ugh. But again, just trying to stay calm I am going to stick with using windows blinds, safe, quick, doesn't message around with your system files. peace

Sorry to hear about that. I had 2 deaths in the family this year. Doesn't matter if they are good or bad, people die because of adam and eve, sin in the world. Just to update something. Windows Blinds is not a system hog. Also, windows blinds 4.6 is free, kinda. You can use alot of skins, but some skins and options are locked. I am however, not using it(at the moment), but i just wanted to say its not a system hog.

With the help of SP4 and that update rollup, everything is running smooth. Thanks for the info too. Actually without SP4 and the update rollup, i notice alot of programs would not work and the OS seems unstable at times. So those 2 files are much needed. Now everything is great.

I always use the wallpaper to which ever game i am playing. And thats pretty much it. I am just going to keep it simple , don't want anything to conflict with my games too.

Windows blinds classic looks interesting, but i heard its a system hog. And right now, windows 2000 is running smooth, so i will just leave it as it is. I have a nice wallpaper and i change the colors on my desktop, so it looks pretty good. peace

Questions, Should i install the Update Rollup 1? Also, why do i need a firewall ? Didn't notice anything strange going on so far.

Just wondering should people install SP4 on win2k? Is it worth? Does it make 2000 more demanding like XP with all that junk install? Reason i ask, i bought 2000 for 10 dollars today, thinking about installing and see how its.

When it says " log on as an administrator ", all hope is lost in being able to play this game. I tried to play this one xp game and it said the same thing, you need XP to play it, it seems. I bought the Xbox one version, so i am not going to bother playing the pc version. Btw, what video card are you using and i would try to get windows98se.

I have no tried a card that has more then 256MB memory, but can someone tell what sort of problems will arose? Also, my 6200 OC 256MB card shows 251.5MB, but games still see it as 256MB and games work just fine at max settings. So maybe if using a 512MB card, it will show up as 500MB or something and see work as fast.

Alright using Kernel helps alot, and i found ways to get games to work using Kernel. #1 Is WindowsME , the same as Windows98se, if not you may need Windows98se to be able to get Jade to work. #2 If the game is asking for a XINPUT9_1_0.DLL file, go here and download it: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-file...tml?xinput9_1_0 Remember to make sure you can see your DLL files, and extract the file into the jade empire dir or your windows/system folder and see does the game load up.

If anyone is using emule, do you get a error message that pops up , if so, is there anyway around it? I don't remember getting this message years ago before i knew about the autopatcher or kernel, so i am wondering is either one the cause of it. EDIT I found out what the problem is, its Kernel 3.6 which was causing the problem.

Yea you are right, i haven't tested any of the new cards on windows98se, so who knows they may work. I have a new card now, but its a Visiontek 2400HD, but sadly there are no new win98se drivers for ATI. I wanted to buy the X1550 for win98se, but the 6.2 driver for win9x does not support the X1550 series, only the XP 6.2 driver does, which is silly. Oh yea i know, there are alot of new PCI cards that have 256MB. So there is many to choose from, in the 8 series that has 256MB. I plan to buy a 8 series card for my new rig which i am buying soon in PCI bus. Not PCIE. PCI cards get the job done just fine. I am using 6200 OC PCI card for windows98se and my games work almost perfect.

I'm not using DVD+RW, i am using DVD+R, all new. Do you have a link to the correct ASPI drivers to install? Btw when i put in the disc now, nothing shows up. I am going to uninstall nero and just use 120 and reinstall intel application acclerator 2.3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!EDIT!!!!!!!!!!! Using Alcohol 120 it says 4.7GB DVD+R DISC. I will try to burn something and see does it work. Seems like nero is crap

Maybe i am blind, but i didn't see this game listed: Code of Honor 2 Conspiracy island But it works just fine, make sure you don't disable any of the options in the option menu in the config file tho.

I guess windows98se is limited to using DVD+R discs right, because i put one in and it shows up as 648MB. I wanted to burn something or just put some files on the disc, but i can't with nero anyways. Haven't tried anything else.

Those 82.69 drivers , is it possible that they will work on any of the 8 series or 9 series video cards? Because i remember when i bought the PNY 8400GS PCI card, and this is when i was using XP, the oldest driver that worked on the card was the 160 if i remember correctly. The newer GPU's doesn't seem to be design to work on any of the older drivers. I plan to buy a 8600GT soon and i will see if it works on win9x with any of the older drivers, but i am not buying the card for this computer anyway, but i will check.
