  1. Thanks Mara. I will do slipstream on XP.0 then. I'll search Forum for tips on slipstreaming Netframework, but I take it then that I will have to slipstream NetFramework versions 1.1 and above as it will not be in XP.0 even after slipstreaming with Sp3 as the service pack only updates pre-existing files on source disc and to my knowledge XP.0 only contains NetFramework 1.0? Thanks again.
  2. Hello to everybody! This is probably a dumb question knowing me, but it is bugging nonetheless me. I slipstreamed SP3 onto XP basic CD(original build)- the one without any service packs, and onto XP CD with SP2 incorporated. The SP2 after being slipstreamed with SP3 is bigger of course than the XP basic after slipstreaming with SP3. Now my question is which is the better to use? SP3 only updates certain installs, if that file is installed already e.g NetFramework 1.1(as in XP_sp2), then sp3 would put on all the service packs and security fixes for that specific feature, but with the basic XP CD it is not on, so wouldn't a lot a features(not be activated so speak or updated upon!) and be missing despite SP3 going on? or does Service Pack 3 put everything on despite the XP build used before slipstreaming? My gut feeling is to stay with the slipstreamed XP_sp2! Also I have tried incorporating Netframework 1.1 and 2.0 as well as 3.0 with service packs as well on both, but just keep getting cmd script error messages. Is it possible to slipstream these?
