I am not sure if you have stripped of ms-access, helpfiles or clipart. But who is using msacces?
In my department 1 out of 100 is using msaccess, so i install it manual to thise persons..

net use do not use name-server-request, and that is the problem.
I have mapped a domain-name to a IP, and use tcpdump on my share-box to listen to traffic on udp-port 53. No traffic is generated by net use command.

The net use command is missing som feature that i need. I see that is possible to map any netbios name with share or IP with share, but it is impossible to map a domain-name with share.
Net use works with this syntax:
net use * \\IP\share password /user:username and
net use * \\NetBiosName\share password /user:username
but not this:
net use * \\host.domain.com\share password /user:username
Is there any powertool i can use to make this possible. I am installing unattended software from many places in my network and i need to install application from a station that is mapped to a network share from a host.domain.com
Any who know?

Is it possible to detect witch drive letter the DVD Drive uses..
eg. The envirement variable for the system drive is %systemdrive%. Is there a variable for the DVD Drive or a great script that can find it.

Right Click on the desktop, select "Properties", select menu item "Desktop", Select "Background=None" and chose the color in the palette on the same dialogbox...

I have made a complete unattended installation of WinXP Pro, and placed all my software on a network drive. Everything is working great by i have one little problem. When i access a *.exe file on an network drive I get a dialogbox with thise text: (Se file)
My question are: Is it possible to add a registry tweak to disable this file control?

I use many registry entries running the Unattended installation of XP. I use InstallRite to take a snapshot of my computer before and after an installation. Is there a program that only take snapshot of the reistry?

I have a batch-file that i converted to a com-file. The reason for this is to hide the password in the script. The script map's up a smb-share on a linux server, and use this point to do software and hotfix installation. I placed the com-file in $OEM$/$1/install - catalog and execute it from a RunOnce.cmd file. It will not run when i do the unattended installation, but after all is finished the i can run the com-file with sucess. Have some of your'e any idea to make the network map safe under the unattended progress?

and how to install dvd-less. If I copy all the files to one map, the installation stop's and ask for disk2
(I hav tryed making maps like DISK1 DISK2 ... It don't work)
If someone have done the silent install of CS3 before me, please give me a hint..
