Thanks Tomcat, 12CPRODEV_setup.msi was in there by mistake. I've removed it. c:\windows\setuperr.log was empty. I'm not sure which dll's need to be re-registered. I tried removing the addons, but that didn't help; Automatic Updates icon still missing from Security Center. I removed all the Windows/Microsoft Update stuff: HF\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe HFCABS\legitcheckcontrol.cab HFCABS\muweb_site.cab HFCABS\MuCatalogWebControl.cab HFCABS\MUAuth.cab And that has fixed the problem. I'll try to narrow it down later. Thanks again!

Hi all, Sorry, this question has been asked before by GrandMstrBud on Mar 31 2007, but I wasn't able to find the answer: After installing my HFSLIP'd XP SP3, In Windows Security Center, I see the options for managing "Internet Options" & "Windows Firewall" but no "Automatic Updates."
