  1. Hi all. I too was searching for a fix to the missing address bar. The best solution I found was to replace browseui.dll as some of you have mentioned. However, there is no need to disable SFC or the like. As long as you do everything in safe mode and with the explorer.exe process killed, you won't have a problem. After finding all the instances of browseui.dll that needed to be replaced, I created a batch file that does the dirty work (including making backups) for you. If you want to try it, you can download the batch file on my website: http://personal.ryantadams.com/2008/05/08/...windows-xp-sp3/ It should only take about 5 minutes form the time you download the file until you have your address bar back. I would appreciate any feedback.
