  1. When I install XP SP-3 from an nLite modified source, I get an error message about ICFGNT.DLL (see attached JPG) during the Final Tasks portion of Setup. When the system reboots, There is no desktop background, none of the standard web backgrounds are available, and about half of my Start Menu items are missing. I've tried dozens of combinations of settings and tweaks, renaming or not renaming the Administrator account, loading or deleting OOBE, and having OOBE enabled or disabled. The error message mentions Internet Connection Wizard, which I have not deleted or disabled. The ICW error message doesn't always appear, but the other symptoms do. Also, it's not that I care that much about desktop backgrounds, it's just a consistent symptom. And, yes, I'm starting from an OEM Windows XP Pro x32 source each time. I'm perplexed, to say the least. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Oho Last_Session.ini

    Feature Requests

First of all, a sticky Feature Request topic in this forum would be nice. I have one simple one (I hope) for now: The ability to set default locations for source, destination, service pack, and hotfix files for those of us who use this program a lot. A good example of this is the File Locations dialog in WinZip. I can't believe this wonderful program is freeware. I'm using version 1.4.8.
  3. I have a .reg file I use to modify Disk Cleanup behavior, add items to the Regedit favorites list, and other tweaks not covered in nLite. Is there a way to integrate .reg files into the installation? If not, could we get one in some future version? Thanks.

An actual answer. Several, in fact. Thank you very much. Kato

    Newbie question

OK... However, in another month or so, there'll be more; wouldn't be Microsoft without 'em. At that point my question remains.

    Newbie question

This should probably be added to FAQ. Where do I download Windows XP hotfixes to include in my install? I found a catalog site at Microsoft, but couldn't make heads or tails of it. No luck with MSDN either. Thanks.
