I installed Vista Ultimate x64 this weekend and I've about had it with this crappy OS. I may just ditch Vista x64 forever. I have had so many issues with this install. The crazy thing is that I installed it on 2 completely different systems at the same time and I am seeing exactly the same issues on both of them. Crashing apps, IE crashes over and over again. Installs failing, OneCare won't run. Windows Update fails every single time. It won't even detect that I have updates, let alone download them. MCE crashes on startup with the stupid "No Valid Target Found" message. Can someone explain to me what could possibly be going on here? I was using Vista Ultimate 32 bit for 6 months with few if any issues at all. I moved to x64 because I wanted better game performance and was told that was a good way to get it. I'm running x64 Enterprise at work and it runs great so I figured this would be a no brainer install. Hell I must have installed Vista 50 times during the beta and I never had this many issues, even during the fricken Beta! Any ideas?
