  1. I am still receiving a toside.sys error when the initial configuration files are loading on a computer with known good RAM and which operates perfectly with XP SP 2 or SP3 RC2 Build 5508. I'm slipstreaming SP3 RTM using nLite v1.4.5 beta 2 and I have attached my Last Session .ini file for your review. Please help, if you can - I sincerely appreciate it. Al LAST_SESSION.INI

    Apologies

Nuhi, I apologize sincerely if the wording of my topic relating to the to the toside.sys error I am receiving made it sound as if I were using unlicensed or illegal software. I assure you I am not - I have no need to. As a full time employee for the past nine years of the 2nd largest computer corporation in the US, I am issued legal volume licensing serial numbers for all the Microsoft products our company uses and for our other vendors as well such as Symantec, Novell etc., etc., including the ones I mentioned in my post. In fact, the Win XP SP2 installations I mentioned were from company disks supplied to me by my employer. Although I do download ISOs from the internet due to their easy availability, I do NOT ever use any serial number supplied with the ISO. Once again, I have no need to. In the future, I will be far more careful of my wording, because if my post was worded poorly enough to cause you to misconstrue my meaning, then I know others might also perceive it the same manner and that would reflect poorly on the forum and on me. Thanks for all your hard work - I truly appreciate it. Sincerely, Al

    toside.sys

Granted, I am relatively new at this and have relatively good succes up until now, I have come to an obstacle which had me ready to beat my head against the keyboard in abject frustration. I have made several successful unattended installs so far using nLite and have not run onto any problems that could not be solved by correcting setup errors, but this one has me whupped. I am installing on a test computer that has had several different iterations of Win XP Pro Corp SP 2 and even the SP3 Real Performance edition I downloaded from the usenet, so I know it is not a problem with the RAM memory. In fact, I can hook up the original hard drive with that RP OS on it and it runs just like a fine Swiss watch. I am using a known good copy of Win XP Pro Corp SP3 to start with and slipstreaming SP3 RTM. The install doesn't even get past loading the Windows setup files before it errors out. I have tried everything I could think of that might help, but to no avail. I would truly appreciate any help I can get on this. I am uploading my Last Session .ini file in case it might be of assistance. Thanks. Al LAST_SESSION.INI
