I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the kind of install. I start out with a pre-service pack XP Professional 5.1.2600.0 image and then I manually slipstream SP3 v5512. I've also tried with SP2 and get the same results. Hi all, I have been pulling my hair out over a problem I am having post install. Every time windows boots the processes take a loooooooong time to load. They all show up in the processes window, but under "USER NAME" nothing shows up for like 2-3 minutes. I have used nlite in the past (a couple years ago) and never had this problem. The problem is present regardless of which service pack I try. The only windows components removed are the security center, error reporting, and search assistant. Any other options/tweaks have been kept to a minimum. Windows runs excellent once started and everything is how I want it, I just can't figure out what is keeping the processes from starting as fast as they should. Any suggestions/clues/help is greatly appreciated.
