There are other post about it. Yes you can use vlite on 2008 server but it's not recommended. 2008 use the same kernel as Vista SP1 so it cannot be faster. Take a look on 2008 server web site for more information That is simply put wrong. Server 2008 is faster. The kernel is the same, however, the system is much more then a kernel. There is a LOT missing/disabled from server 2008 that has been loaded into vista for it to be User and DRM friendly. I'm not going to get into a fight here - google for performance tests and look at the numbers.
