Hi I study software engineering on the University, so I know something about the computers, but I am not skilled in Vista OS, so I would like to ask you for an advice. First at all I am sorry for my english, because for long years I had to just read it and not write it. Now my problem. At home I have two computers - desktop and laptop. On the desktop is Vista Business x64 installed and on laptop is XP Pro x86 SP2 installed. In desktop I have two network cards and I use it for accesing internet from my laptop. So there are two local networks - one for my laptop and second to internet provider. Laptop: Local: IP 192.168.0.2, Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS - filled Desktop: Local: IP 192.168.0.1, Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway none, DNS - none To Internet provider: IP 192.168.2.204, Mask 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.2.1, DNS - filled, internet sharing set When both these computers were XP Pro, there was no problem, but now there are several of them. 1) Desktop: After some time connected to internet, when I open new browser window, I can't load the page, and any program can't make a new connection. But ICQ or Azureus are still connected. And from laptop I can connect with anything. When this happens I also can not connect to my ftp server running on laptop. 2) When 1 yet didn't happen I can connect to my ftp server on laptop and I can download with no problem. But when I want to upload something, it dies after few seconds with no reason. I tried more ftp servers and clients. Please, when you have an idea, ask for more info, because I don't know what can be relevant.
