    XP MCE images

I reinstall windows on a lot of computers, usually 10-15 per week. I have nLited versions of Home and Pro, but I can't seem to find a good clean original MCE disc. I have made a couple nlited discs using a Dell and Compaq system disc, but they both have problems. At the end of the install it wants to install a bunch of Dell software. Can someone tell me how to get a clean, unmodified Media Center image?

    Windows MCE 2002

No matter what I try, my MCE 2005 images always come out as Version 2002. I have an actual Retail MCE 2005 CD that I am creating my images from. As soon as I slipstream SP3 and install from the resulting images, Windows recognizes it as Version 2002. This is only an issue because the Microsoft Zune will only work on MCE 2005. Their software will not install on MCE 2004 or earlier, regardless of the updates. Also, all versions of Windows XP seem to show "version 2002" after working with nLite. Any ideas?
  3. While I am trying to get Foldersize to work, I have ruled it out as the problem. I have tried to simply disable the "TYPE" column and it will only change in the current directory. "apply to all folders" does nothing. BTW: I have tried with all my images, Home, Pro, MCE, retail, OEM & yellow sticker OEM. Same result on all. I install foldersize after the main installation and have removed it from the unattended Addon trying to troubleshoot the problem. The only thing I change that should be related is "set default folder view to:" and choosing details. LAST_SESSION__205406.04_10.51.31_.INI
  4. After rebuilding several times, I have found that I cannot "Apply to all folders". I am trying to get foldersize to work and when I activate the column and click the "Apply to all folders" it continues normally, but when I check a different folder it doesn't have the same columns. This seems to only affect the C: drive, other drives work fine.
  5. I have a Media Center 2005 DVD, and am trying to use nlite on it to add some drivers and XP SP3. Everytime I do, it comes up as MCE 2002, regardless of the updates I have installed. I never noticed before, but a customer had a Zune and apparently the Zune is only compatible with MCE 2005. There are hacks to try to get it to work with 2002, but I haven't had any luck with those.
  6. Well, I have about 60 drivers of my own, and they integrate very nicely with nLiteOS. Unless I drastically misunderstood the DPBase instructions, I don't like having to run a second installer just to use the driver packs. Frankly, I have a hard enough time just getting Add-ons to work without causing my installs to crash. I also don't need all the drivers in the packs. Every LAN, WLAN, etc. is a lot more than I need. My biggest problem has been the various sound drivers and getting them to work without crashing the installation, especially on newer systems that didn't come with XP support from the manufacturer.
  7. I have decided that I don't like having EVERY driver imagineable plus I really don't care for the installation method of using DPBase to integrate the drivers. Are there any other publicly available driver collections for use with nLite?
