  1. Hi All, I'm not sure if this is posted in the right thread, but I didn't see a forum dedicated to RDP, VNC or VPN. Anyway my problem is this. I have a client who owns 2 clothing shops, both only have one PC which is also used as the cash register. My client would like to remote access both these PC's without interfering with the cash operations I.e Retail manager. I have shown her VNC and Logmein options but they are no good as they are basically remote assist options. She would like to be able to work with a quickbooks file on each PC remotely without taking over the windows session. I also attempted to set up a windows 7 VPN following a detailed video guide, but the connection cannot be established. I have forwarded port 5900 as required to no avail. I have even tried moving the PC to the DMZ, and disabling the firewall on the PC. No luck. As far as i can tell there is no option for PPTP passthrough on the modem, also I beleive this is only good for a single client? My customer would need 2 connection? So my questions are: 1. Is there a way to use VNC without it taking over the current windows session? 2. Is there a easy reliable way to use VPN without the use of a dedicated server? 3. Is it worth looking into a VPN router or is this moot due to the modems lack of capability as a passthrough? Hope you guys can help. Thanks Steve
  2. OK I've found that deleting the OEM.Inf files that point to the Nvidia Dll's has stopped the request for the ethernet driver. But the repair is continuing to restart. Any ideas? The PC originally failed after the post with a system32 error?
  3. Hi Guys, I'm trying to perform a windows repair on an XP oem install. After a while the repair requests "NVIDIA network bus installation disk" . Now if i skip this the repair will fail and restart. Anyway basically it wants the ethernet driver (nvenetfd.dll). So i've downloaded the drivers for the mainboard including the ethernet and burned it to a disk. I can pint it to the correct DLL on the disk and it seems to install it ok, but then the repair still fails and restarts. Any ideas how i can get around this without a complete format? Cheers guys Steve P.s the motherboard in question is an ASROCK Alive NF7G-HD720p
  4. Sorry Kelsen I misunderstood. Here is the Last Session file. Thanks Steve LAST_SESSION.INI
  5. I Did not remove IE6 I have IE7 to silently install with WPI (Its the last app to install and works fine with XP home) Yes I used my "Last Session with Nlite" I have also tried the other $oem$ the post_$oem$.rar And yes i am using these files uncompressed.
  6. Hi All, I've made an unnatended XP Pro install with Nlite, and on the image I have the Wpi folder with my extra software in the Install folder, but after XP completes its install I just get a blank screen with nothing but a moveable mouse pointer on it. Nothing hapens untill i reboot, and then WPI will start. I originally had the exact same setup but with XP Home. I made WPI install with that by using %source%\wpi\wpi.hta in the runonce section of Nlite setup wich executed wpi perfectly after the OS install. The same command did not work with XP Pro so I tried copying WPI's $OEM$ folder to the same directory as the i386 and wpi folders on the image as per instructions. But all I get with that is that **** blank screen with a movable mouse pointer. Do any of you guys have a solution or have you experienced a similar issue? Thanks Steve
  7. Thanks guys, your info has really helped me out. Keep up the good work!! Steve
  8. Hi MSFNers! Can anyone help with changing the default homepage in Nlite to other than the 3 options given? Also can anyone give me a screendump of a runonce screen in Nlite. Just want an example to work from. I'd ideally like to integrate Java, flash, Media player 11, Adobe reader, 7zip, windows live messenger, quicktime and VLC media player. I already have then in a folder on the ISO but im a noob to integration other than ryanVM hotfixes. Ahh scratch the last bit. I've just discovered WPI!! Still need the homepage and Runonce though.. Anyway i can get Nlite to Run Wpi on first boot? Thanks guys, I know I can get some help here! Steve
